What Information do we want to collect from you?

The Environmental Society will collect your name as provided when a member signs up to the community. This sign up will include your first and second name as you provide it. As part of the sign up, we will also collect your email address for the purpose of adding you to our society mailing list. By being included in our mailing list, you will received weekly newsletters about our upcoming society events as well as other society related information.

Why do we collect this information?

Our society collects this information for the purpose of contacting society members. We retain your name so that we can personalise our society emails to you. The email that you provide to us is the main point of contact that our society has for you. This is why we require every society member to submit their personal email upon signing up for the club.

Will your information be shared with anyone?

The Environmental Society will never share your name and personal details with any third parties. Member privacy is of vital importance to our society, which is why we do not share any personal information unless requested by the individual.

How long do we retain your personal information for?

The details you provide to The Environmental Society are stored for each academic year and are then released. Should a member wish to retain their membership, they will be informed of renewing their membership for our society which takes place at the end of September during Clubs and Societies Week.

What information rights do you have?

Society members have the right to request what information The Environmental Society holds about them and members hold the right to have their information removed. Information can be removed at any time at the request of society member. To unsubscribe from our society mailing list, members can click the unsubscribe button at the bottom at each email sent from The Environmental Society. To delete personal data that our society holds, members can contact the team by emailing trinityenvironmentals@gmail.com.
